About Me

My name is Rolland Kenneson. I married my wife, Rhonda, in 1992. Together, we have one daughter, Jessica, who works as a biochemist. I have been in ministry leadership for over 25 years serving in churches and educational ministries throughout Colorado. I am currently pastor of Rosemont Baptist Church in Montrose, Colorado. I love helping people find freedom and hope in Christ igniting a passion within them to serve uniquely in the body. This website is part of that mission.

My life verse is 2 Timothy 2:2, which say, "The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also" (NASB). This is an image of a four generation ministry - Paul, Timothy, faithful men, others. This is my passion! The gospel is so important we should be able to share anything we find that is helpful to share it with others. That is the objective of this website - to gather resources that some have found helpful and share it with others so that the world can know about Jesus Christ! That is the 2 Timothy 2:2 Objective.

Mission

Helping people find their identity in Christ igniting a passion within them to serve uniquely in the Body.

Values

Sharing Genuineness

Allowing people to see me as they show themselves

1 Peter 1:7 - so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

2 Corinthians 13:5-6 - Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you--unless indeed you fail the test? [6] But I trust that you will realize that we ourselves do not fail the test.

Extending Grace

Accepting people wherever they are at in the spiritual process

Ephesians 4:29 - Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

1 Corinthians 15:10-11 - But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me. [11] Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

Articulating Scripture

Clearly communicating the transforming message of the Gospel

Acts 4:33 - And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all.

Colossians 4:3-4 - praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned; [4] that I may make it clear in the way I ought to speak.

Stirring Potential

Encouraging people to envision what God may be doing through them

2 Timothy 1:6-7 - For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. [7] For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.

Philippians 1:6 - For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 3:20 - Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

Invoking Transformation

Calling people to respond to the work of God they see in their life

Romans 12:1 - Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

2 Corinthians 3:18 - But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
